Rat anti-mouse cd90 (mouse thy-1, monomorphic) (several clones)

A collection of rat monoclonal antibodies recognizing monomorphic determinants of the mouse Thy-1 moecule (CD90) located in two spatially distinct epitope regions: Epitope B : H154-161 (IgG2c) ; H154-190, H154-11 (IgM) ; H140-61, H140-150 (IgG2b) Epitope C : H154-236, H154-57, H155-124, H154-262 (IgG2c), H154-177, H154-200 (IgG2b)

Interest / Relevance: The rat monoclonal antibodies reactive with Thy-1 epitope C are capabable of activating T hybridoma cells to produce IL-2 (upon cross-linking at the cell membrane). They also stimulate IL2 receptor expression by mouse thymocytes.
Trigger mouse thymocyte apoptosis through a bcl2-resistant mechanis.
Block adhesion of mouse thymocytes to thymic epithelial cells
