Hahlh (hahr) cell line

HAHLH were generated by transfection of cervical cancer HeLa cells with the XRE(TnGCGTG)3-TATA-Luciferase-SV40-Hygromycin plasmid. The plasmid XRE(TnGCGTG)3-TATA -Luc-SVHygro contains a luciferase gene driven by three AhR responsive elements and a hygromycin gene under the control of SV40 promoter.

Interest / Relevance: These cells enable to measure the hAhR activity (full and partial agonism, antagonism) of pharmaceuticals, environmental compounds (HAPs, PCBs, dioxins).
These cells enable to measure the hAhR activity of environmental (water, sediments), human (blood, urine adipose tissue) or food (water, vegetables, meat) samples.
