Germ free humanized diabetic/obese mice

These germ free mice are colonized with human microflora and fed a high fat diet which allows the study of the impact of pre and probiotics on the control of metabolic diseases.

Interest / Relevance: This animal model is unique since it allows the validation of any nutritional strategy that aims at controling the relationship between intestinal microbiota and metabolic disease. Immunomodulatory strategies are also suitable using this model.
